Solid Strip Flooring

Solid strip flooring is the most popular type of timber flooring and also offers the widest and most varied options available. This type of timber flooring has 100’s of different options available for the customer with a range of species, grades and sizes. From 19mm solid strip flooring to 11mm overlay flooring, there is an option to fulfil most job specifications. Solid strip flooring can and has been used on a wide range of applications such as: residential, office, light industrial, sport halls, concert halls. This type of flooring can be installed in a number of different ways on to a number of different materials. It also allows the customer a range of finished from Gloss to Matt.

Each individual floor is a unique canvas of natural timber.

Blondes

Blackbutt

Description – Blackbutt is a common hardwood that varies in its colouring from cream to pale brown, sometimes with a slight pink tinge. Blackbutt usually has a straight grain and is constant with the texture.

Australian Beech

Description – Australian Beech is a combination of highland timber that has been selected to create a unique finish that ranges from pale browns, golden hues to a light cream that can contain a slight pink tint.

Messmate

Description – This Hardwood species is well-known and has been used in a wide variety of applications. It variations in colour are from pale browns through to light yellows with a possible hint of peach through the veins. Messmate is rich in detail with a consistent texture and beautiful growth rings.

New England Oak

Description – The natural visual aesthetic of the classic Australian landscape is embodied by New England Oak. The tone of this species varies from soft yellows and pinks to pinkish browns. The medium and even texture with a variable grain adding to the prominent growths rings makes this an appealing timber floor for most domestic settings.

Stringybark

Description –Being a blend of Eucalyptus varieties native to carious areas of New South Wales, the texture of Stringybark is moderately fine and ever with a relative straight grain. It is light coloured blend ranging from pale yellow through to golden hues and light browns.


Browns

Turpentine

Description – Grown in New South Wales and southern Queensland, Turpentine in a highly durable hardwood which varies in colour from pale to dark reddish brown to deep chocolate brown. Its straight grain and even texture makes it a popular species for flooring.

NSW Spotted Gum

  • Colour - Brown

Description – As the tree sheds its outer strips of back, the tree is weathered which causes the soft mottled colour that is predominantly seen within the species (this weathering is where the term “spotted” comes from). The NSW Spotted Gum is different to the QLD variety in colour as it is mainly lighter in its tones with greater variation. NSW species normally ranges from light browns to soft creams. This species is very tough and is most commonly recognisable with its attractive wavy grain pattern.

QLD Spotted Gum

Red Mahogany

Red Ironbark

Description – Ironbark is one of the hardest timber species available in flooring with its colours varying from pale to rich reds as well as browns. The grain is typically interlocked with a moderately course texture.

Rose Gum

Description – Flooded gum, also known as Rose Gum is ideal for luxurious domestic applications that require a subtle yet rich aesthetic appeal. The grain is typically straight (however it can have the occasional natural scribble pattern) with an even texture.
